Foton Motor was founded in 1996 in Beijing, China, under the name Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. Established by the state-owned BAIC Group (Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co.), the company’s goal is to develop a Chinese manufacturer capable of producing a wide range of commercial vehicles for both the domestic market and export.

Thanks to rapid growth, Foton has become one of China’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers in just a few years.
