(pages: 84)
For the connoisseur, Sinpar is synonymous with all-terrain vehicles, as the company has worked extensively in this field, transforming road chassis into 4 × 4 or 6 × 6 and then creating its own equipment. But since its beginnings, Sinpar has produced a multitude of products in a wide variety of fields: chassis lengthenings, shortenings and reinforcements, installation of an additional axle, a power take-off, a reduction gear or a gearbox, installation of a front or rear winch, installation of oilfield body equipment for forwarders or tractors, iron and crane carrier bodies, double cabs, tarpaulin-covered cabs, tarpaulin-covered bodies fitted out or not, airport elevator vans, workshop vans, specialized bodywork, breakdown equipment, jibs and lifting cranes, elevators, drilling equipment, mini-trucks for urban use, chassis lowering, modifications from 4×2 to 6×4 low-loader, special front-wheel-drive chassis, conversion of rigids into tractors with conventional or automatic hitch, conversion of road chassis into 4×4 or 6×6 all-terrain vehicles, construction of compact or conventional all-terrain trucks, manufacture of trailers and semi-trailers, supply of components without installation, etc.
Sinpar's primary objective is to meet the customer's wishes by providing a solution to his problems, a solution that he has not been able to find with the major manufacturers, where standardization is usually the rule. In each case, Sinpar's engineering departments design the specific fittings and modifications to be made to the vehicle, according to the type of chassis selected, and then proceed to production, once the customer has given his approval. The finished vehicle is very often unique, which adds further interest to the production of the small manufacturer from Colombes. This first part focuses on conversions and equipment installation.
